There’s a stereotype regarding people embracing these careers, which only proves that the gap between males and females in computer coding and STEM-related activities is bigger than it should be. The simple reason? Girls are usually less incentivized and supported in these fields. We want to change that!

The Gurl Code is a nonprofit organization created to empower young girls currently attending K-12 through the power of computer coding and other STEM activities. Besides providing courses and activities, such as 4-hour coding sessions and demonstrations, The Gurl Code offers a support system for those who need it. By creating a community of girls who share this interest, their drive is increased, and their passion grows.
